LOCH Named a ‘Cool Vendor’ the Gartner 2021 Edge Computing Report

For most organizations, wireless visibility and security remain critical challenges, even as they embrace technologies like 5G and the mobile edge.
On the whole, Gartner predicts that 15.8 billion IoT wireless devices will connect to enterprise networks by 2028 — 80% of those devices will be wireless. Still, a full 97% of enterprises have security concerns over the adoption of IoT. For organizations that want to secure their networks and implement Zero Trust Security initiatives, it will be a requirement to actively assess and mitigate threats for the full range of wireless devices. “Any IT organization that does not have a policy that defines how a device will connect to the network or has not tested all devices to ensure they act properly must discover, manage, secure and monitor all wireless. This is the case whether the device is Wi-Fi or cellular,” said Tim Zimmerman, VP Analyst at Gartner, in the report.
